4 BBGbCb These pieces have been given the names of mountains in Switzerland. All of them are around or above 3000m high. "Horn" means peak. The pieces need a calm tempo and there is a pause on most of the breath-taking. The Alphorn players often do a rubato at the end of a phrase. Playing score.

4 BBBB. Low Dance  - Low and Slow  - A Walk on the Low Side. There are quite a few courses that feature sessions for basses only. There are not many pieces for such groups, and 'Low Profile' adds three more to that short list. The notes are not difficult, although the rhythms often interlock, so care needs to be taken with counting. The bass 4 part is particularly suited to the great bass, as it never ventures above an 'A'. Total performance time is about eight minutes.

4 BBBB. There are plenty of pieces for all-treble groups but, so far, the upsurge of interest in playing bigger recorders has not yielded very many pieces for all-bass groups. These canons are Steve's contribution to the cause. The total playing is about seven minutes. MHE 10713a is a re-arrangement of this set for tenors.
